I actually adore parsnips and for a long time I couldn’t find them in grocery stores. They seem to making a bit of a comeback, at least now I can buy them! Love the comic 🙂
I think parsnips are popular again, thank goodness! Now if only the same thing would happen to the wonderful turnips and rutabagas! But I bet, Angela, that you and I both know the real old time Finnish pasties from the UP have rutabagas in them. Go Finns! 😉
I love cookbooks. I mean I really love them. I love to read them, treasure them, learn from them, and, of course, cook from them. To me, cookbooks take on a life all of their own. They are history, family, and memories. I have been collecting cookbooks and writing down treasured recipes of family, friends, and neighbors since about age twelve, which means I now own thousands of cookbooks, recipes, and clippings.
