Ingredients
  • 2-3 cups crushed ice
  • Juice of 2 small limes
  • ¾ cup tequila
  • 8 mint leaves
  • 1-1/2 cups orange juice
  • ¼ cup green creme de menthe
  • For the syrup:
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup aged mescal
  • To garnish:
  • 6 slices lemon
  • 6 sprigs mint
Instructions
  1. To make the syrup: Combine the sugar and ½ water in a saucepan; heat gently and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to a boil, without stirring, and boil for 2 minutes or until clear. Remove from the pan from the heat and let cool.
  2. Put all the ingredients into a food processor or blender and process until completely smooth. Add the syrup and sweeten to taste. Pour into highball glasses and garnish each with a slice of lemon and a sprig of mint and serve.
