Rain, Snow, Floods, and a Birthday

I have been sitting here trying to figure out what to write about for my next blog when a message just came through on my Facebook page.   My sweet youngest daughter wrote the following post before going to bed:

I cannot wait to go home tomorrow to celebrate my Momma’s birthday! It doesn’t matter how old you are or how tough you are…sometimes we all just need our Momma! 🙂

My birthday is Sunday and my little girl, who is not so little anymore, will be flying in from from New York City to celebrate.  With all of the rain and flooding here in the Chicago area (and now the weatherman says maybe even a few snow flurries!) we are not sure what our plans will be.  But it doesn’t matter to me if we just hang out, cook, and watch movies.  Apparently, there are “epic” gifts awaiting me, as I have heard from my youngest and my husband, so I have a feeling it will be a good weekend even if we have snow, rain, or floods.  I’ll get back to you on the “epic” gifts.  And I’m so happy my girls still need their momma…

Happy Birthday Debbie! Can’t wait to hear about the “epic” gifts. Must be something great.
