Hi everyone! I’ll have plenty of time to sit and look through dozens of my cookbooks in the next couple weeks. I have to leave the blog temporarily for a hospital stay but I will be back as soon as I can. While recuperating, I am going to have a great time having my husband bring up piles of books to read and think about new blogs to write for you. Feel free to post here over this time and tell me what new or old cookbooks you have found and what you are cooking. I would love to read about them! I’ll miss you all but I’ll be back as soon as I can. In the meantime, happy cooking!

Why I Started This Blog
I love cookbooks. I mean I really love them. I love to read them, treasure them, learn from them, and, of course, cook from them. To me, cookbooks take on a life all of their own. They are history, family, and memories. I have been collecting cookbooks and writing down treasured recipes of family, friends, and neighbors since about age twelve, which means I now own thousands of cookbooks, recipes, and clippings. Now I want to share them with you along with the many other culinary treasures of my cellar." - Debbie Vanni
Sending you many prayers for a speedy recovery Debbie!!
Take care. Prayers and blessings coming your way. I know Bill will take good care of you and keep you in “books”.
Hugs
Wishing you the best, Debbie, and hoping for a quick and uneventful recovery. Take care and enjoy those piles of cookbooks!
I’m sorry to hear that you have more to “deal with” and hope that you and Bill are both well on your way to complete recoveries. It was thoughtful of you to let your readers know that you’ll be taking some time off. Looking forward to your return to good health and to the blog!
A quick “hello” to let you know that you’re missed. I hope you and Bill are doing okay – making good progress.
We miss you Debbie. Hope you are recovering and feeling a little better each day.
Best wishes your you, Bill and the rest of your family.
Sincerely,
Scott E.
