Hi Patricia- I haven’t found the recipe yet, but I’ll keep looking. I have a Sphere recipe index that only lists the exact title of the recipe. It must have been titled with something else besides just Buche de Noel. I have looked under Yule Log, Christmas, French, etc., but nothing is listed. Do you happen to remember the exact title? Or maybe remember the cover of the issue it was in?
I will ask my friend but her cell died and she is trying to get it fixed…The year might not be 1978 . I just know I was hoping to have it for Christmas… thank you for looking. I loved that magazine.

I love cookbooks. I mean I really love them. I love to read them, treasure them, learn from them, and, of course, cook from them. To me, cookbooks take on a life all of their own. They are history, family, and memories. I have been collecting cookbooks and writing down treasured recipes of family, friends, and neighbors since about age twelve, which means I now own thousands of cookbooks, recipes, and clippings. Now I want to share them with you along with the many other culinary treasures of my cellar." - Debbie Vanni
I have the recipe for the moussaka but what I am really looking for is the Buche de Noel cake that Sphere had had. I would love to find it again.
