Have you watched the new Cooking Channel yet? It has some new programming along with repeats of earlier Food Network shows, and even has some older shows with Julia Child, Graham Kerr, and others. I found these two books today at a library sale and decided to give them both away this week! The Graham Kerr book is from 1992. He calls it his “minimax’ book because the recipes “guarantee minimum risk and maximum flavor in everything you cook.” It won a Julia Child Cookbook Award from the International Association of Culinary Professionals.
Rachael Ray’s book is from 2005. As you would guess, the “guy food” includes things like burgers, pizza, and grilling.
Both are terrific books! If you would like to be entered in the random drawings for this week, just send me an email at the address on the right, and give me your name and email address. Tell me which cookbook you would like to enter, or if you want to try for both, then tell me that, too. Just send me the information by midnight Friday, June 19th.
Congratulations to Amy M. from Illinois who won last week’s book, Chicago Gourmet!
Good luck in this week’s drawings, and check back every Monday for more great books!
Graham Kerr’s book sounds interesting!
It’s a great book! The day I posted this, my friend Roxanne from Iowa called me and said she had the book sitting on her kitchen counter at that moment. She loves the book and highly recommends it, too!
I would love the RR book-thanks so much for offering these–and I think you and I need to do a cook books swap sometime–I have over 400–sad but true! thanks!!!
Hi Laurie! I put you in the drawing for the RR book! I also will be giving away another one of hers soon. Thanks for writing and entering, and remember, I give away a new book every Monday!
