Since the next several days will be filled with last minute shopping and cooking, I just want to say Merry Christmas to all my readers who celebrate the joy of the Christmas season.
Here are a couple photos I would like to share with you. The one on the left is me, the other is my mother. My mom said the donkey (what, no reindeer?) was stuffed and the Santa smelled!
I have almost the very same picture of myself with Santa. It was part of my family’s annual Christmas ritual — go downtown on Friday night to look at all the spectacular window displays then have my picture taken with Santa Claus at one of the department stores. I could never figure out how Santa could be in so many places at once.
This is the first Santa I remember. My mom had to encourage me to go sit on his lap because I was scared, then once he started talking, I didn’t want to leave. I even remember that coat I was wearing! Guess some experiences stick with you. (And I still love Santa!)
