How would you like to sit at a table shaped like a soup can? Lay your head on an Oreo pillow? Store your clothing in a freezer case? Or buy milk and eggs in the attached supermarket near the lobby? You can do all this and more at the Food Hotel in the Rhineland town of Neuwied, in Germany. It is home to the conference center for the German National Food Retailers Association. Food producers contributed to the cost of constructing the hotel, paid for the furnishings, and keep the rooms stocked with snacks and beverages. Thirty-six of Germany’s biggest household names, including international brands like Coca-Cola, teamed up to create this unique hotel. Here are just a few of the rooms:
