Yes! I am going to Italy! My daughter Kristina and I are off on a culinary adventure tomorrow, and of course I am not all packed yet. Those of you who know me will not believe I am going to fly somewhere for 8 or more hours. My furthest trip so far has been to London and that was 6 hours. Do you think I can push for another couple hours and make it in one piece? If anyone has suggestions to ease flying anxiety, please let me know! I have already downloaded a couple books on my iPad and I’m sure there will be movies on the plane.
We will be going to Rome, Tuscany, Sicily, and Florence. I’ll tell you all about when we return, with lots of photos to show you, too, and hopefully some great recipes. In the meantime, everyone enjoy the beautiful fall weather and gorgeous leaves. I’ll be back in a week to write some blogs and show you the photos- or maybe a little longer than a week with the jet lag!
Ciao, baby!
Bon Voyage to both of you! Looking forward to hearing from this wonderful adventure. FYI, Prosecco has been THE beverage in my home for years – a trademark of mine along with a few shards of THE Parmesan and THE Gorgonzola.
Ciao and Bon Appetit, Y’all!!! Mary Louise
Thank you, Mary Louise! We can’t wait to tell you all about it when we return!
Enjoy your getaway – you will LOVE Italy and they will love you and Kristina! Stay safe and enjoy the journey.
Thank you, Janice! I still can’t believe it is happening.
