If you read Friday’s blog, you know that the rules were just released for the next Pillsbury Bake-Off contest, which will take place in Orlando in March of 2012. In honor of the contest (and just because I love it), the giveaways for this week are very special! One lucky winner of the random drawing will win an original 1959 Best of the Bake-Off Collection. This treasured collectable contains the first 1,000 recipes from the contest. It’s a delightful book about the first ten years of the contest, with classic recipes, lists of judges, and a real nostalgic look at the early contests. Every cook should have this piece of Americana in their collection.
Since the contest will be taking place at Disney World, I had to include a Disney cookbook! This book from 1986 contains the most requested recipes from the resort’s restaurants.
