Summer officially begins today! And when summer begins, it seems like every magazine offers weight loss tips and recipes to help everyone feel good about trying on swim wear. This Weight Watcher cookbook from 2000 features Sarah, The Duchess of York. It is part recipe book, part motivational. Sarah was a spokesperson for Weight Watchers because she had successfully battled her weight demons and won. The book explores the different emotional stages of a woman’s life and how the issues and behaviors of each phase can affect losing and maintaining weight. The Duchess talks about her many struggles with weight and how she overcame personal tragedies and finally found her self-esteem. The point values for the Weight Watcher program are included in the book. You will indulge in such dishes as a warm cassoulet salad, a fish chowder pie in a bacon-biscuit crust, pork tenderloin with plum chutney, or sea bass Wellington.
If you would like to put your name into the random drawing, email me at the address on the right and leave your name and email address by midnight Friday, June 25th. I will notify you by email if you win. Good luck! And come back every Monday to see the give-away of the week.
Congratulations to the winners of the two cookbooks given away last week: Lesley P. from Massachusetts won the Graham Kerr book, and Christen C. from Texas won the Rachael Ray book. Hope you both like them!
