As mentioned in Saturday’s blog, from now on I will be posting easy recipes on the weekend. This yummy chocolate dessert can be made in minutes and placed in the refrigerator until ready to eat. Great for last minutes guests or just to please the chocoholics in your house!
Super Easy Pots de Creme
1 package (6 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup scalded milk
Garnish: Fresh berries, mint sprigs, or candied violets
1. Place chocolate chips, egg, sugar, and vanilla in a blender. Cover, turn to high setting, and slowly add the scalded milk through the top opening. Continue to blend at high speed for 2 minutes.
2. Pour mixture into 4 small serving dishes. Let cool for about 10 minutes, then cover with plastic wrap. Let chill until set, or even overnight. Garnish as desired. Serves 4; you can double the recipe but do it in two separate batches.
