This has always been my favorite photo of my mom. She looks movie star beautiful, smart, and confident. When I was young, I thought she could do anything. I still do. My mom has never been one to sit back and watch life go by. She has always been a hard worker, but also managed to have fun no matter what her age. This August, we will be celebrating her 90th birthday.

Mom likes to keep up with all the latest technology. Here she is getting an iPad for her 89th birthday! She loves her iPad and carries it with her everywhere.
Mom told me a story the other day I hadn’t heard before. She said that when she was about ten years old, a little boy came up to her and said, “You are cuter than Shirley Temple!” See Mom – we always knew you were a movie star.
