This weekend, my girls and I will be headed to Point Reyes Station, California for a visit with my mom and stay all next week. I’ll meet the girls at the airport on Saturday and drive up north to beautiful Point Reyes.
This was our last trip crossing the Golden Gate Bridge. Once we get to Point Reyes, not too far away, we always head to Cowgirl Creamery where they make the award-winning Point Reyes blue cheese and lots of others.
I also head to the local bookstore…
Bakery…
Organic meat market and wine shop…
Farmer’s Market…
And of course, Toby’s Market that has all kinds of great items.
After all the visits, we are going to get busy cooking for mom! I’ll be posting next week about “What’s Cooking with Mom.” We’ll give recipes for what she wants to eat along with photos, maybe more of Point Reyes, mom’s cat Ozzy, and maybe even the wild turkeys and deer that roam around her house. Maybe even some photos of mom if she lets us. What I do know is none will be of snowy Chicago, just sunny Point Reyes and the beaches. And I have an appointment with a special culinary bookseller. Can’t wait to tell you about that! See you next week!
Looking forward to seeing all the fun you ladies are having
Enjoy your time with the girls and your mom, and also enjoy all that wonderful food. While you’re at Cowgirl Creamery, have a taste of Red Hawk for me.
Is the Cowgirl Creamery cookbook in your collection?
Have a great time, it is these special trips in life that make the memories that keep us smiling.
Look forward to the photos and stories from the trip, thanks for sharing
