Our precious granddaughter Eliza turned two this past weekend! We had a joyful family party with a dinner of Eliza’s favorite foods, and of course numerous gifts and a birthday cake.
As many two-year-olds, Eliza loves playing outside, watching Bluey and Sesame Street, finding her way into mommy’s make-up, soft cuddly toys, and at the moment blowing bubbles.
She couldn’t get enough of the bubble machine!
So many gifts! She loved her Bluey tent from her aunt Kara, and grandma and grandpa Dalton’s colorful little table and chairs – and sunglasses. Eliza won’t leave the house without a pair of sunglasses.
The spice cake from Lovin’ Oven Cakery was a huge hit, complete with edible “bubbles” on top. Eliza was so excited.
It was a beautiful day for a party so we ate outside on the patio. When mommy Kristina placed the cake on the table, Eliza’s eyes got big and all she could say was “Fork!”
Kristina set the table with her colorful Marimekko plates, napkins, and glasses. Everyone had a bottle of bubbles to blow along with Eliza. Bubbles everywhere!
For dinner we had a delicious salmon, orzo with pine nuts, roasted broccoli, fruit salad, and a fresh herb mayonnaise for the salmon. By the way, the recipe for the herb mayo will be on tomorrow’s blog. It’s a keeper!
Happy Birthday our sweet girl! You are very, very much loved. Looking forward to age three with the added joy of your new little sister!
