This weekend offered two Countdown to Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel. Tonight at 8pm/7c will be Road to Christmas starring Jessy Schram, Chad Michael Murray, and Teryl Rothery.
Los Angeles television producer Maggie Baker (Jessy Schram) unwittingly falls for Danny Wise (Chad Michael Murray), the son and former producer of his mother’s (Teryl Rothery) popular annual Christmas special Julia Wise Lifestyle. When Maggie’s secret plan to reunite Danny and his two brothers with Julia during the live broadcast in Vermont goes awry, Maggie is reminded that above all, it is the love for family and friends that makes the merriest of Christmas.
I was going to make something I could see in the kitchen photo above, but it’s too late to make a bird, which looks like it might be a goose. Since the live broadcast on the show is going on the road to Vermont and, along the way, visit a Christmas tree farm, I thought a recipe involving trees would be in order. Edible trees, that is, not these outdoor ones.
How about some festive popcorn trees? These are fun and easy to make, and look so cute as centerpieces for Christmas tables. All you do is make some popcorn, spread green frosting on sugar cones, then decorate with the popcorn and gumdrops or other candy. Let them dry and place on a table setting. They will last for weeks!
Kids will love decorating these!

Thank you for sharing your posts! I admit that it’s not easy to even try recipes as I collect so many, but it has been fun to see the recipes you do share!
