This issue of vintage Sphere is filled with so many good recipes, I could have made all of them! But in the end, a bread recipe from Bert Greene won out.

The Best Valentine’s Gift Ever
I don’t need flowers or chocolate this year. All I need to have is my husband home after a stroke. Yes, he is doing great. We are so thankful.
